ASI's Counselor Magazine Reveals Fastest-Growing Promo Companies

No. 1 supplier RuMe BrandSuite and top distributor SoBe Promos enjoying mind-blowing growth

TREVOSE, PA – August 22, 2017 – Counselor® magazine today released its annual top 10 list of the fastest-growing suppliers and distributors in the $23 billion promotional products industry, including top performers RuMe BrandSuite and SoBe Promos.

“This year’s fastest-growing companies are bold, brash industry standouts redefining success with innovative offerings, passionate employees and an ultra-competitive drive to be the best,” said Dave Vagnoni, editor-in-chief of the award-winning Counselor magazine, which is published by the Advertising Specialty Institute® (ASI).

The number one fastest-growing distributor of the year, SoBe Promos (asi/245603), of Miami, FL, grew 1,050% between its founding in 2013 and 2016, when sales hit $3.7 million. To date in 2017, the distributorship has increased sales by 48%. The company is run by Spencer Kramer, CEO; Chris Ferriter, VP of business development; and Scott Latimer, CFO. The millennial trio bonded as undergrads at the University of Miami, and today they head a team of 14 employees.

SoBe Promos counts the Miami Heat basketball team among a client base that includes tech, e-commerce and retail markets, AT&T, Los Angeles record labels and a multitude of Miami businesses and colleges.

The year’s number-one fastest-growing supplier, RuMe BrandSuite (asi/82700), of Centennial, CO, grew sales 513% between 2014 and 2016. Owners Katy Lee and her husband Jae Lee founded their company on Earth Day and have earned a reputation for affordable, fashionable eco-conscious promo products. Dan Frailey is RuMe BrandSuite’s president. The company employs a staff of 70.

In addition, RuMe is increasingly crafting many of their products in the U.S., capitalizing on domestically produced lines that allow for completely custom designs at low minimums with quick turnarounds.
