Top 40 distributor HALO Branded Solutions (asi/356000) has acquired the business of American Pacific Promotions (APP, asi/120677), a California-based distributor with offices in Livermore and other areas of the Golden State. Financial terms of the deal were not made public.
In announcing the deal, HALO CEO Marc Simon said APP Founder/President Terry Woodhams and his team bring a lot of value to the table that HALO can help build on.
“Terry Woodhams has built a successful business built on integrity and creativity,” said Simon. “His team’s high-touch approach with clients has allowed APP to expand their footprint in the fast-paced technology industry. Our goal is to enhance these relationships with HALO’s award-winning creativity and world-class technology solutions.”
While certain select administrative functions will migrate to HALO’s Sterling, IL-based headquarters, the distributorship will be maintaining APP’s California sales offices, company officials said. Woodhams will remain on board as well, serving in a leadership position at HALO.
“We are excited for the growth opportunities our HALO relationship will provide to our clients and prospects,” said Woodhams. “We have a hardworking team that will be able to utilize HALO tools to serve our clients better than ever before.”
HALO has been active in making acquisitions this year. In February, the distributor acquired New York-based Michael C. Fina Recognition, later rebranding the incentives provider as HALO Recognition. HALO also acquired the business of Seattle-based Catalyst Marketing, Inc. (asi/159067).
With reported 2016 North American promotional products revenue of $282.3 million, HALO ranked 5th on Counselor’s 2017 list of the largest distributors in the industry.
